Shipbuilding & Industry 4.0 course

The University of Coruña, one of the 15 partners of the FLORES project, has released a new edition of its free traning course on ‘Shipbuilding and Industry 4.0’.

This training initiative is done in collaboration with the European Erasmus+ Forward Looking at the Offshore Renewable Energies (FLORES) project and the company CT Ingenieros.

This theoretical-practical training, lasting 20 hours, will be available free of charge from February 19 to March 18 through the UDC Aberta Platform for Galician and Spanish- speaking users.

Contents of the course

During four weeks, those enrolled in the course “Shipbuilding and Industry 4.0” will explore in depth the key concepts of Industry 4.0 applied to shipbuilding. Technologies such as Internet of Things (IoT), Big Data, Data Analytics or Data Mining, Augmented Reality or Mixed Reality systems, additive manufacturing or 3D printing, cybersecurity, collaborative robots and simulation will be analyzed.

Registration

Those interested in participating in the MOOC “Shipbuilding and Industry 4.0” can register for free through the open education platform of the Universidade da Coruña.

Target users

This course is aimed at students of technical baccalaureate, Vocational Training cycles, university degrees in engineering and professionals in the sector.

FLORES connection

The Erasmus+ project FLORES, in line with its goal of promoting training in the marine renewable energy sector, has supported the publication of this new MOOc from one of its partners, Univeristy of Coruña. This contributes to the project objetive of promoting specific training for the ORE sector and contributes to the development of professional careers in this field.
