SNAME perspective on maritime sector

The event is organized by the Maritime Technology Cluster FVG and the University of Trieste – Department of Engineering and Architecture (DIA) and is scheduled on April 17^th from 15:30 in the premises of Porto Vecchio in Trieste hall Sala Luttazzi Magazzino 26.

The event will launch the new Italian headquarter in Trieste of the SNAME Society of Naval Architects and Naval Engineers and focusing the future of maritime technologies.

The workshop focusses on primary developments in innovation in the maritime sector. Tailored panels on decarbonization in the maritime and shipping sector and challenges and opportunities of marine sustainable energies are foreseen with involvement of key players from research and industry side.

It will be structured with two panels with contribution of local and international experts from industry and research players:

• the first panel will deepen decarbonization in maritime sector and shipping
• the second panel will bring the perspective of the FLORES project on opportunities and challenges of renewables from the sea.
