On 25 october, the FLORES project participated in the Offshore Wind Revolution event, organised in Palermo, Italy.
The aim of the event is framing the strategic nature of the topic and sharing a common line of direction – at a technological and policy level – to exploit the opportunities offered by this new rapidly expanding market in Italy.
The FLORES project partners from WindEurope talked about skills and workforce and disseminated some of the results based on the analysis conducted on job profiles. This report shows that project managers are in highest demand, followed by ORE technicians, with half of the top 10 profiles being engineers. In parallel, most of the identified programmes are at the Master’s level, (EQF 7), revealing a significant gap in vocational training at levels 3 to 6.
They also talked about different offshore profiles and handed over copies of the card game developed within the FLORES project, so that parents and local participants involved in education could spread the word about them to the youth in their communities.
