On 20-22 March 2024, the FLORES project had an active participacion at WindEurope Annual Event, held in Bilbao, Spain.
This is the flagship on- and offshore wind energy event, organized by WindEurope, one of the FLORES project partners.
More than 12K attendeed the three-day conference and exhibition, where the FLORES project also play an active role.

At the exhibition hall, the project had a booth where colleagues shared share our latest developments, such as:
- The video series on Offshore Renewable Energies jobs, with 16 interviews of professionals from the sector.
- The card game for children to discover inspiring ORE jobs
- The set of educational materials for secondary schools teachers.
- The occupational profiles, emerging jobs and required skills identified by the ORE Observatory.
- The available courses and trainings across Europe, to deep dive on the ORE sector, all collected in the Marine Training Portal.
- The promotion of the Pact for Skills in the ORE sector and the Terms of Reference for companies and organizations to become a member of the FLORES community of users.
Skills of the Future Workshop
During the event, the FLORES project also participated in the conference programme during the Skills of the Future Workshop. Our colleague Lefteris Sdoukopoulos presend the work done on establishing a Skills Observatory in the Offshore Renewable Energies sector.
He presented a detailed baseline outlining the current status of occupational profiles and the skills required within the Offshore Renewable Energies sector, as well as forecast future trends within the industry, including their anticipated impact on capacity demand. He highlighted paradigm shifters on new technologies, new skills, and emerging jobs.
