{"id":4098,"date":"2024-04-15T10:53:50","date_gmt":"2024-04-15T08:53:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/oreskills.eu\/?p=4098"},"modified":"2024-04-15T10:53:51","modified_gmt":"2024-04-15T08:53:51","slug":"flores-educational-materials-released","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/oreskills.eu\/fr\/flores-educational-materials-released\/","title":{"rendered":"FLORES educational materials released"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The EU-funded project Forward Looking at the Offshore Renewables (FLORES) aims to raise awareness about careers in offshore renewables energies (ORE).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To make this sector visible and appealing to young generations, FLORES has released a set of educational materials aim at secondary school teachers, so that they can easily bring this topics to their classrooms and integrate them in the cullicula.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What&rsquo;s in it for teachers<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>To ease the work for secondary school teachers, the FLORES project has prepared a full set of materials that include, for every lesson, a guidebook and additional sources as well as a PowerPoint presentation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These are aimed at developing practical Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) experiences for secondary school students.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Topics included in the educational materials<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The education materials cover a wide range of <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Introduction to offshore renewables: <\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Types of renewable energy sources<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Renewable vs non-renewable<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Production of reneable energy by country<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Benefits of ORE<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Wind energy<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>What is offshore wind?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Where does the offshore wind blow?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>How do offshore wind turbines generate electricity?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Construction of an offshore wind turbine.
