University of A Coruña

The Universidade da Coruña (UDC) was founded under the Galician Universities Law 11/1989 on July 20th, 1989. The University has three campuses in A Coruña and one in the city of Ferrol. The University of A Coruña is a public institution whose primary objective is the generation, management and dissemination of culture and scientific, technological and professional knowledge through the development of research and teaching. The University explicitly expresses its commitment to the study and the integral development of Galicia. Thus, Ferrol Industrial Campus arises in a context of industrial transformation that is articulated around what is known as Industry 4.0, that is, a comprehensive digitization of the industry, to support the development of the Factory of the Future, promoting research of excellence, applicable to companies so that these can tackle the challenges of incorporating and developing intelligent manufacturing processes, necessary to strengthen their competitiveness.
