The European Marine Board (EMB) is the leading European think tank in marine science policy. It provides a platform to advance marine research and to bridge the gap between science and policy. As an independent, self-sustaining, non-governmental advisory body, the European Marine Board transfers knowledge between the scientific community and decision makers, promoting Europes leadership in marine research and technology. In relation to offshore renewable energy training and skills, EMB has recently published a policy document on the ORE sector in general, which highlights skills gaps and training needs from a marine science and technology perspective. Some years ago, EMB also published a policy documemt on marine graduate training, looking more broadly at how this training could meet the needs of the blue economy.
